We commit ourselves to inward and outward simplicity,<\/em><\/p>\n

setting aside our \u2018right\u2019 to affluence<\/em><\/p>\n

while there are still those who live in abject poverty.<\/em><\/p>\n

We desire to be a relevant and prophetic voice<\/em><\/p>\n

in a world preoccupied with self.<\/em><\/p>\n

INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Trust in God at all times, people. Pour out your hearts to the Holy One.<\/p>\n

For God alone my soul waits in silence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Silence<\/em><\/p>\n

Be still and know that I am God<\/p>\n

Be still and know that I am<\/p>\n

Frustrated? Worried? Angry?\u00a0 Sad? Lifeless? <\/em><\/p>\n

Accepting how I am, it\u2019s the real me God loves.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

Sing \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em>Bless the Lord, my soul, and bless God\u2019s holy name<\/p>\n

Jesus, you always welcomed little children when you walked on this earth. We want their purity of heart so we can see you; their singleness of mind so we don\u2019t complicate things.<\/p>\n

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We thank you for the many simple things that have blessed us recently.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We lament the many things we have made complicated and have allowed to attach themselves to us.<\/p>\n

Jesus, you came to us in humility,<\/p>\n

Vulnerable and empty-handed.<\/p>\n

You made your whole life an offering,<\/p>\n

Renouncing power and privilege.<\/p>\n

You were at home among those overlooked by others,<\/p>\n

Prizing faith above status or learning.<\/p>\n

You always spoke the truth.<\/p>\n

Spirit of Jesus send us out today<\/strong><\/p>\n
