We want to see the good news of Jesus <\/em><\/p>\n

proclaimed in word and\u00a0deed, \u00a0power and love. <\/em><\/p>\n

We have a God who is working to renew all things and to restore wholeness of life<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0to individuals and communities, rich and poor alike. <\/em><\/p>\n

We work for justice, proclaim God\u2019s grace, <\/em><\/p>\n

and lift all things to God in prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Trust in God at all times, people. Pour out your hearts to the Holy One.<\/p>\n

For God alone my soul waits in silence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Silence<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sing \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em>Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart. Naught be all else to me save that thou art.<\/p>\n

Thou my best thought in the day and the night; waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We await your healing and wholeness – individually and in community.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

God to enfold me, God to surround me<\/strong><\/p>\n

God in my speaking, God in my thinking<\/strong><\/p>\n

God in my sleeping, God in my waking<\/strong><\/p>\n

God in my watching, God in my hoping<\/strong><\/p>\n

God in my life, God in my lips<\/strong><\/p>\n

God in my soul, God in my heart<\/strong><\/p>\n

We await your healing and wholeness \u2013 rich and poor alike.<\/p>\n

THANKSGIVING AND LAMENT<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

O Lord of All Being, it is so challenging for us to bring the whole Christ to the whole world.\u00a0 We more often bring \u201ca broken Christ, a lame Christ, a crooked Christ deformed by us.\u201d[1]<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our world is fragmented: creatures disconnected from creation, nations torn by powerful interests, families broken by arrogance and addiction,<\/strong> nature spoiled by thoughtless consumption.<\/p>\n

Come Lord Jesus<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are fragmented: hearts divided, prayers separated from actions, justice isolated from love, the holy distant from the human.<\/p>\n

Come Lord Jesus<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We long for integrity of word and deed, to be wholly holy and wholly human, to be healed and healing.<\/p>\n

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We give thanks for opportunities to speak of Jesus, for happenings that reveal God\u2019s grace, for actions that redeem injustices.
